PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Scope of work issued by the client: This is a very large hospital complex with a large waste stream to deal with. Their existing waste handling equipment was not able to meet all of their specific needs with respect to labour content, space utilization and the level of automation. As a result of two site meetings and numerous discussions with management and staff R.D.I was able to create an all encompassing design that satisfied each requirement fully. The resulting waste handling system was fully automated via cart tipping systems, provided a safe working environment through the use of fully compliant safety corrals and significantly reduced the hospitals labour burden with respect to the overall internal handling of the waste stream.
